I wanted to get a view from outside the park looking in at the peaks. I ended up at this spot and the alpenglow was just perfect that evening.
Golden Hour over Lake Mcdonald
Just a short walk from our cabin at the Lake McDonald Lodge gets you to the shore of Lake McDonald. The haze from all of the fires around the park meant that the sky picked up a lot of the light of the setting sun (that said, here's hoping the park gets more rain in the future).
On the hike to Grinnell Glacier, we kept passing these incredible, turquoise, lakes. The first word that comes to me about this hike is breathtaking.
