This place is hot. But the shots are always worth it. The Mesquite Dunes were almost empty that day. We took advantage.
The photo was taken early in the morning in the Death Valley at the 20 Mule Team Canyon just after sunrise, the upcoming sun bathing the landscape in a "sea of colours and contrasts" which cannot be seen during the daylight, including goose bumps in the morning.

The 2016 super bloom in the Death Valley NP in Feb. This picture was taken on the Beatty Cutoff Road. The last time of this scale of super bloom was in 2005.
